esterday we hosted kaiako (teachers) from 7 other schools, and a numeracy facilitator from The Learner First. While the
primary purpose of the day was to provide professional development for the kaiako, several classes participated in maths workshops with the group. The teachers involved in the PD then share their learning with the rest of the staff - so we can all become even more effective teachers of mathematics.
This is an example of us working towards our first strategic goal: Ensuring that all ākonga gain confidence and experience success in literacy and numeracy.
