Winter sports are underway, with both hockey and basketball having school based teams. My sincere thanks both to the staff who coordinate the sports teams and to the parents who give of their time to coach/manage teams. We couldn’t provide these opportunities for our tamariki without each of you.
I ask that whānau reinforce the school expectations that all ākonga behave in a respectful manner on the sports field, whether it be a practice or a game. We also ask that you remind the children that they have made a commitment to their team for the whole season. There is nothing more frustrating for everyone than being short of players because someone changes their mind.
