Each class had a cricket skills session from representatives of Manawatu Cricket earlier this week. The tamariki really enjoyed the programme run by their enthusiastic staff.
Selected Year 5 and 6 ākonga participated in the Ricoh sports tournament on Wednesday too - competing against other schools in basketball, hockey, football, rugby and netball. While the weather could have been kinder (I guess we have to remember it is a winter sports tournament), the tamariki played with enthusiasm and great sportsmanship! Each team had at least one win against challenging opponents.
