Next week is Māori Language week 2025 - Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. This takes place from Sunday, September 14th to Saturday, September 20th. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the event, which grew from a single day in 1972 to a full week celebrating the Māori language and culture. The theme for 2025 is "Ake ake ake - A forever language"
