Newsletter - Term 3, Week 9, 2022

Wow, it’s the end of week nine already and only one more week until the end of term. It was a very busy week for our senior students with around fifty tamariki competing in the RICOH sports tournament on Wednesday. Our students did a great job at representing our school. This was reflected by a number of our students receiving Most Valuable Player and Fair Play certificates. Our hockey team came second overall and our rugby team third. Every Hokowhitu student who attended contributed towards making this day a successful and enjoyable experience for all.

Tamata koutou pakeke! (You tried hard!). A huge thank you to our teachers that organised and supported our teams. Also a huge thank you to Aaron who coached our rugby team, John who coached our hockey team, Terry who coached our basketball team, and Melissa who coached our netball team. Without supportive parents like you we would not be able to make these events happen. Students have written a recap of the day to give you more detail. Please find this further on in the newsletter.
